Dr. Mic: Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Patrick Micaroni was born and raised in Central New York and is excited to return to the area! A graduate of Canastota High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY with the highest honor, summa cum laude. Dr. Mic then went to the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, again graduating summa cum laude and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. After becoming a dentist, Dr. Mic stayed in Buffalo for an extra two year post-doctoral residency program allowing him to specialize in pediatric dentistry at the Women and Children's Hospital at Buffalo. He began practicing at Kidsteethonly in 2019, and then became the new owner of Kidsteethonly in 2021.

Dr. Mic always knew he wanted to become a dentist, but he was inspired to be a pediatric dentist after shadowing Dr. Norm several years ago and has always looked to him as a mentor throughout his dental education, associateship, and practice ownership. Dr. Mic has been trained in oral and I.V. sedation, as well as treating patients under general anesthesia and those with special needs. He stays up to date on his knowledge by attending many meetings and seminars throughout the year to be able to provide the highest quality, most updated care possible for all of his patients!

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the fifth District Dental Society, and the Oneida-Herkimer Dental Society. Dr. Mic is also Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mic is on staff at MVHS and is also an attending dentist at Dr. James Rozanski Dental Health Center where he teaches aspects of pediatric dentistry to general dentistry residents.

Dr. Mic resides in New Hartford, NY with his daughter and wife Cynthia, who is an orthodontist and a native of Whitesboro. They met while attending Le Moyne College, and went on to attend dental school together as well. When they aren't talking about teeth at the dinner table, they enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks sailing and fishing, golfing, cheering on the Syracuse Orange, and running the Boilermaker every year!

Dr. Norm: Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Cognetto (a.k.a. Dr. Norm) has lived in central New York all his life, growing up and attending elementary school in Utica, NY and graduating from New Hartford High School in 1983.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utica College and in 1991, a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Norm then completed a two year residency program specializing in pediatric dentistry at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

Wanting to create an environment where he and his patients would feel relaxed and comfortable, in 1993 Dr. Norm returned to his hometown and opened his practice on Genesee Street.  A place where any fears children might have had would be left at the door when they arrived. His practice became known as Kidsteethonly. In 2021 he sold Kidsteethonly to Dr. Micaroni, his "hand-picked" associate, and continues to work there to provide extraordinary care to the community he's always served.

Dr. Norm continues to enhance his knowledge and skills, attending multiple classes, seminars and meetings each year in order to continue to provide his patients with the greatest level of care available. Dr. Norm recently completed a comprehensive course from Tongue-Tie Academy, in order to provide laser frenectomy for infants and children with diagnosed tongue-ties and lip-ties.

Dr. Norm is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, NYS Dental Society and our local Oneida Herkimer County Dental Society.  He is currently the Chairman of the Children’s Dental Health Month Committee. Dr. Norm is on staff at MVHS and is a past chairman of the dental department. Dr. Norm is also an attending dentist at the Dr. James Rozanski Dental Health Center where he teaches aspects of pediatric dentistry to general dentistry residents.

Dr. Norm currently lives in New Hartford with his wife Valerie. He has two adult sons, Nicholas and Christian who live in Buffalo and New Hartford respectively.  He also shares his home with his rescue cat Clarabelle who is the topic of many stories shared with his patients. Dr. Norm is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys cycling, running, triathlons, mountain climbing, bow hunting, fly fishing, and woodworking.

Dr. Singh: Board Eligible Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Harsimran Singh is native of Kansas and is excited to join the team at Kidsteethonly. He spent his childhood in the suburbs of Kansas City (on the Kansas side) and then went on to earn his bachelors’ degree at the University of Kansas. For dental school, Dr. Singh made the move to western New York and attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. For his pediatric dentistry training, Dr. Singh traded the frigid winters of Buffalo for the warm sunshine of Arizona. He obtained his pediatric dentistry certificate at NYU Langone Hospital’s affiliated training program in Phoenix, AZ and is currently board eligible.

Dr. Singh first became interested in pediatric dentistry when he was a young patient himself. Dr. Singh had such an enjoyable experience as a patient that he set a goal to become a pediatric dentist himself. Dr. Singh believes in comprehensive care when it comes to pediatric dental care. His philosophy centers on a triangle where the dentist, child, and parent are all involved in the decision-making process. Dr. Singh hopes to make every child’s visit to the dentist an enjoyable one and hopes to foster long lasting relationships within the community.

Outside of the office, Dr. Singh is an avid sports fan. He played basketball all throughout high school and football for one year, although his dream of making it to the NBA or NFL didn’t come true. He enjoys watching soccer and spends part of his weekends cheering on his favorite team, FC Barcelona. Living in Arizona sparked Dr. Singh’s interest in hiking and he hopes to continue with this hobby in the future. Dr. Singh has relatives in New York and has always considered New York to be his second home. He spent his childhood with his cousins in Long Island and now looks forwards to becoming a part of the New Hartford community.

Please extend a warm welcome when you see him in the office!
